Traffic signals regain power around downtown Raleigh after outage

Traffic signals regained power along Wilmington, Blount and Person streets in downtown Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A construction crew hit an underground power line Tuesday afternoon in downtown Raleigh.

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, only 100 customers were still without power, according to Duke Energy.

At one point Tuesday, more than 600 customers lost power around Chavis Park.

Power to traffic signals has also been restored. They were out Tuesday along Wilmington, Blount and Person streets.
