RALEIGH, N.C. — NC State football coach Dave Doeren's contract has been extended through the 2026 season.

The NC State Board of Trustees and the UNC System Board of Governors approved the agreement along with a raise for Doeren.

"Dave continues to provide tremendous leadership for NC State Football and elevate the standards for our program," said Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan. "We continue to see competitive growth, academic growth and there is great continuity among our entire staff. Dave and Sara are deeply invested in both the NC State and Raleigh communities and we're excited for even greater days ahead."

Ten NCSU assistant coaches received new agreements as well.

NC State finished the 2021 season ranked 20th in the final Associated Press poll and went 9-3 during the regular season. The Wolfpack were awarded the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl trophy in December after the game was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols. NCSU was bowl eligible for the seventh time in nine years.

Doeren has the second-most wins in school history behind Earle Edwards with a 64-49 record.
