On Monday, Clayton High School rising junior defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil was offered by Wake Forest University. He reported the offer to his X account. It is Stancil's first offer from a Power 5 program and sixth overall.

Stancil is listed at 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds. He played on the edge last season but is working on adding weight to play more on the inside this fall.

His previous offers came from Temple, Troy, Appalachian State, Arkansas State, and Liberty.

The class of 2026 prospect was named to the All-Greater Neuse River Conference team after he was credited with 39 total tackles, eight tackles for a loss, five sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble during his sophomore season.

Clayton finished 2023 with a 10-3 overall record. The Comets lost to Cardinal Gibbons in the third round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A East playoffs.
