The N.C. High School Athletic Association has finalized the state playoff brackets for boys and girls lacrosse.

At approximately 10:45 a.m., the NCHSAA released preliminary brackets to give schools an opportunity to review the brackets for any errors. Schools had until 12 p.m. to report errors to the NCHSAA.

Earlier Monday, the NCHSAA pulled the official RPI rankings from MaxPreps based on the results entered into the website. That happened at approximately 7 a.m. Official RPI rankings are used to select playoff qualifiers and seed the playoffs.

First round games are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 1, at the higher seed. There are six rounds to the lacrosse playoffs, though some teams will receive byes.

All games will be played at the higher seed until the state championship games, which are scheduled for May 17-18 at Durham County Memorial Stadium.
